<image:title>What Producers Wish You Knew - WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU AUDITION</image:title>
<image:caption>1. Know that your attitude in the room is as important as your performance. Be someone that people will want to work with. 2. Doing your homework on the project impresses people. Knowing as much as you can about the project and the people who are auditioning you and making the series/film really matters. If you have this information you will stand out from the crowd. 3. Understand how much work has happened on a TV show or film before you audition – usually years of it - and to respect this. Don’t come in and be ‘the expert’ respect that this has been someone’s ‘baby’ and be curious with them about it. 4. Really know how big the TV machine is and how many factors go into who is cast and to just come in tp do the work playfully knowing it's not about "do they like me?" - you are in the room-- they do-- so now just do the work. 5. If you are totally unprepared don’t do it. It is a waste of everyone’s time and no one will forget it. 6. Be able to change your performance. Don't come in with a decision-- be able to do it differently" *pivot is the word I use - which means to be able to change direction with ease again and again and again.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Practice 2023 Adults - To be good at anything you need to practice. A lot. Of course, you should be practicing at home but we all know that but this gets lonely and directionless.</image:title>
<image:caption>and how can you practice if you’re rarely in front of a camera or in a casting room? How do you get your 10,000 hours?</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f965969baa4f568f7d9b96e/1609036569271-H0Q56CQ9U0SJDBFFC6LS/image.jpg</image:loc>
<image:title>The Practice 2023 Adults - THE PRACTICE puts you in an environment where you work on a regular basis with a group of like-minded peers or one on one with me.</image:title>
<image:caption>This is where the mastery happens— this is where all your ‘breakthrough moments’ come to life as you put the work “into” your body by simply doing it a lot. Yes, you will be taught about how to use the space, the camera and how to take direction and to stand out using improvisations. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THE PRACTICING. This is your “scales”. This is how you “show up”.</image:caption>
</image:image>

<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f965969baa4f568f7d9b96e/1608975169814-ZID5BL4IYT3TDFXNHVL8/image-asset.jpeg</image:loc>
<image:title>The Practice 2023 Adults - HOW IT WORKS.</image:title>
<image:caption>Because I have been so busy this year I have only been able to take on a small amount of clients - that being said- if you want to know how it COULD work to work with me- this is how it goes. First, we chat on the phone - work out what your goals Then I put you with 3 other students who seem similar to you and you all meet with me every 2 weeks and work on sides from all TV and film genres or if you prefer, theatre. Pretty soon you will have 3 or 4 great self tapes for you to use to get an Agent - send to CDs (casting directors) & directors - or help your agent see you in a new light— but MORE IMPORTANTLY — you will have been PRACTISING so you will have got better. Your preparation will improve (which I think where all great work begins - and ends) and your skill set will be tested and consolidated. You will also be shown a rigorous set of tools to implement to help you illuminate a role as you prepare and perform with accuracy and originality. You will also learn about the backend of the business - not just who is who in a casting room, but how the creative process works from the birth of an idea- to its final production and you will be hugely encouraged to see how you can be a part of this process.</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f965969baa4f568f7d9b96e/1608974380771-A1OONZC4EKF1KYU3KVMS/image-asset.jpeg</image:loc>
<image:title>The Practice 2023 Adults</image:title>
<image:caption>THE PRACTISE will help you face your fears and anxiety head on and with joy— before you go for/do the job which is the least ideal place to solve problems. You will learn the essential craft of SELF TAPING and so you can AUDITION with confidence and originality as well as starting a CLIP GALLERY which is an essential part of the actor’s toolkit in this DIGITAL AGE. But most importantly you will PRACTISE because without implementation you have no craft. THE PRACTICE will transform your acting process from being one of approval seeking and fear to one of empowerment, creativity, and fun. It will give you the power, the tools, and the discipline to have ownership of your work, the room, and the screen and MOST IMPORTANTLY remind you that it’s all meant to be FUN.</image:caption>

<image:caption>OK- so that’s a lot and I am not asking that of you— BUT mastery doesn’t happen by talking about acting- it happens by PRACTICING— so that’s what we are all about— practicing and because of this practice the work gets better— and also— and most importantly more fun.</image:caption>
